Types of Climbing Facilities
The colored markers distinguish different facility types:
- Climbing Halls feature high walls (10-20m) for rope climbing with top-rope and lead routes
- Bouldering Gyms focus on climbing at jump-off height (up to 4.5m) without ropes
- Fun-Climbing halls offer playful climbing experiences for families
- Climbing Forests allow climbing on natural trees and rope courses
Finding the Right Gym
Beginners can find introductory courses at most gyms and rent equipment on-site. Many facilities also offer birthday parties and group events.
Experienced climbers should consider wall height, number of routes, and difficulty grades. Some gyms also have outdoor areas or speed climbing walls.
